Sean Carney: “Do or Die”

Sean Carney’s

“Do or Die” Ignites

the NFL Playoffs

Los Angeles-based artist Sean Carney has kicked off 2025 with a career-defining moment, as his electrifying single “Do or Die” was officially picked up for placement by the NFL. Known for his genre-blending sound that fuses rock, pop, and cinematic influences, Carney’s track debuted as part of the NFL playoffs coverage on January 11, 2025, amplifying the high-stakes intensity of the season.

For Carney, this placement is more than just another accolade — it’s a moment of manifestation. “I can't believe that on the 2nd day of the year, I had an NFL producer contacting me directly to pick up 'Do Or Die,’” he shared. “The next thing I know, I'm in a creative meeting with the NFL discussing the best way to use my song for the playoffs! Football was something I had in mind while writing this, I feel like I manifested all this in a way.”

It’s no surprise that “Do or Die” fits seamlessly into the world of professional sports. Co-written and co-produced with Kairo, the track pulses with cinematic energy and a motivational edge, making it a natural fit for the adrenaline-fueled drama of the NFL playoffs. With its anthemic hook and larger-than-life production, the song directly points to Carney’s ability to craft music that inspires, energizes, and lives outside of genres.

Carney has made a name for himself as a boundary-pushing singer, guitarist, and producer, captivating audiences with his ability to blend raw rock intensity, pop accessibility, and film-score-worthy grandeur. His latest album, WANTED, is a sonic journey where rugged western aesthetics collide with cinematic rock, an evolution that further cements his place as a genre-defying storyteller.

His music has already made waves across major platforms like Netflix, ESPN, Disney, and TNT, and his Billboard-charting songwriting credits have earned him respect in the industry. Before his latest NFL placement, his work with the band WOLVES even landed a performance spot on NBC’s Songland, showcasing true songwriting prowess on national television.

Beyond the screen, Carney’s music has been the soundtrack to national advertising campaigns for brands like Hyundai and Weight Watchers, proving that his sound carries mainstream appeal. On stage, he’s rocked some of Los Angeles’ most iconic venues, from The Troubadour to The Roxy and even The Crypto.com Arena, where he’s performed multiple times for LA Kings hockey games.

With “Do or Die” amplifying the intensity of the NFL playoffs, Sean Carney is proving, once again, that his music is built for the biggest stages in the world. Whether it’s through his unapologetic storytelling, production, or anthemic songwriting, Carney continues to carve out his own lane — one that refuses to be boxed in.
