Channel Deep Resilience

with “This Hill”

New release, "This Hill", by THISTLE & OAK, is a song born from the duo’s personal trials and a global period of uncertainty.

Following their track "Pretend," this third single delves into themes of perseverance and optimism, echoing the resilience required during the COVID lockdown. The recording process, described by Paul as cathartic, reflects not just their personal resilience but also the universal capacity to overcome adversity.

Lindsey, who forms the other half of this dynamic duo, views "This Hill" as more than a song — it's a narrative woven from their shared life challenges, embodying the spirit of struggle and the triumph of hope. This release, partnered with Lucky Money Entertainment, symbolizes their growth and connection, both as artists and partners. Their story is further emboldened with an upcoming feature on the iconic Nashville Sign, marking a significant milestone in their careers.

Influenced by acts like The Head and The Heart and The Civil Wars, THISTLE & OAK blend traditional folk with alternative Americana, creating a unique sound that resonates deeply in their new track. From its mythic Sisyphean inspirations to Paul's remarkable return to the studio after a stroke, "This Hill" stands as a testament to the duo's indomitable spirit and artistic integrity. As it launches across streaming platforms, THISTLE & OAK invite their audience to find strength and solace in the harmonies of "This Hill," making it a beacon of hope in today’s music landscape.
