Jan Edwards: ‘LIGHT’ Album

Jan Edwards' LIGHT Album

Is a Journey From Darkness into Radiance

Jan Edwards, celebrated for her genre-bending music, releases her latest album LIGHT, a vibrant counterpart to her 2023 album DARK. LIGHT emerges as a collection filled with positivity, hope, and joy, perfectly timed for the spring and summer seasons.

This album marks a significant phase in Edwards' exploration of the human condition, offering an uplifting blend of melodies and insightful lyrics that celebrate optimism and whimsy.

Originally from Minneapolis and having lived in Nashville and now Naples, FL, Edwards has a distinguished career highlighted by a fusion of country, jazz, soul/R&B, pop, folk, and blues. Her songwriting prowess has been recognized with awards and notable performances, including a showcase at the Bluebird Café. LIGHT represents Edwards' adeptness at capturing the essence of human emotions, presenting a musical narrative that shifts from introspection to an embrace of the brighter sides of life.

With this album, Edwards invites her audience into an exuberant world, contrasting the introspective tones of DARK. The album's joyous and hopeful tracks serve as a musical beacon for listeners seeking solace and inspiration in times of fluctuation between light and shadow.

Edwards expresses her mindset behind the album’s creation with, “The world is filled with light and dark, happy and sad, good and not-so-good. While DARK delved deep in the underbelly of human psyche, LIGHT is the exact opposite. These songs are positive, happy, hopeful, joyful and whimsical. And the release is just in time for spring and summer.”

Through LIGHT, Edwards continues to solidify her position as an artist of profound versatility and insight, capable of guiding us through the emotional landscapes of our lives with her music.
